SENDIASS
At Bradford SENDIASS we offer information, advice, and support around various topics relating to special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) for children and young people aged 0-25 living in the Bradford District and their families.
What are our aims?
We aim to provide flexible information and advice services for children and young people with SEND, and their parents, empowering them to play an active and informed role in SEND related matters including education, health, and social care.
By providing the right information, advice, and support, we aim to promote independence and self-advocacy.
What is our vision?
Our vision is to help children and young people with SEND, their parents or carers, professionals in schools, and the Local Authority to work together to achieve better outcomes for children in line with the relevant legislation and guidance, and the views and wishes of children and their families.
We provide information and advice by telephone, email, and at events in Bradford. We also give information, advice, and support through drop-in sessions, workshops, training for professionals, parent steering groups, children’s focus groups, and we also support young people directly when they get in touch with us independently.
We also host virtual support and drop-in sessions - check out our events tab below for upcoming workshops, coffee mornings, and information sessions.
