SENDIASS
At Medway SENDIASS, we offer information, advice, and support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) aged 0-25-years-old and their families living in the Medway area.
We aim to provide flexible information and advice for children and young people with SEND and their parents to empower them to play an active and informed role in SEND-related decisions in education, health, and social care.
By providing the right information, advice, and support, we aim to promote independence and self-advocacy.
We help children and young people with SEND, their parents or carers, professionals in schools, and the Local Authority to work together to achieve better outcomes for children in line with the relevant legislation and guidance, and the views and wishes of children and their families.
We provide information and advice by telephone, email, and at events across Medway. We also give information, advice, and support through drop-in sessions, workshops, training for professionals, parent steering groups, children’s focus groups, and we also support young people directly when they get in touch with us independently.
We don’t currently have any events scheduled but check back here regularly to see what we have coming up.
