Who are our volunteers?
Independent parental supporters are volunteers who come from across Teesside and have a range of interests and expertise.
They often become a volunteer Independent Parental Supporter (IPS) because they have an interest in special educational needs, having worked in education or having been the parent or grandparent of a child with special needs themselves.
If you would like to volunteer, contact us: southteessendiass@barnardos.org.uk

Every local authority must publish a Local Offer. The Local Offer tells you what support the local authority expects to be available for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities. It must include information about education, health and care provision. It should also tell you about training, employment and independent living for young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
